An awesome, successful, and popular company is looking for an Engineering Manager IMMEDIATELY! Description Responsibilities: The Engineering Manager will manage a team of software engineers working on a variety of mission critical projects. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, on-time product delivery. You will help defining, adapting and tuning development process as we mature and grow. You will empower self-directed engineers, offer guidance as needed and collaborate with team leads on other product teams. You will help create new features, design, develop, deploy and maintain highly scalable and reliable social networking applications, to deliver a great customer experience. You will be hands-on and might even write some code yourself (PHP / ActionScript 3). Must Have: * Several years of leading local development teams with consistently successful, high quality, on time software delivery through the full software development life cycle. * Experience with people management: interviewing, hiring, conducting reviews and promoting career growth. * Extensive programming experience in an Object Oriented programming language such as Java, C++, or C#. * Firsthand experience with all aspects of application development, including but not limited to configuration management, build systems, source control and bug tracking. * Several years experience working with web-based applications in a high-load production environment. * Expert in Coding Structures and Design Patterns. * B.S. Computer Science or equivalent. * Strong oral and written communication skills. Highly Desired: * Experience developing applications using Flash / ActionScript 3. * Experienced with HTML / DHTML / XHTML / FBML (Facebook Markup Language), JavaScript, CSS, Ajax, MySQL and PHP. * Any experience developing applications in the gaming industry * Familiarity/experience with building applications for Facebook, Open Social, MySpace, LinkedIn or other social networking sites. ,
