Being financially conservative

My UI (with extension) expired just last week. Fortunately, my husband works full-time, but even that seems to be on shaky ground considering it is a small, private business, and the owner is in his mid-70's.

For the moment, we are being very conservative with our financial matters, and using coupons like crazy!

Somehow, right around the time I ran out of my own UI benefits (one year's worth) I picked up a contract job listed on -- of all places -- Craigslist!  I had set up my Twitter account to follow many different job boards, so my Twitter feed was running at something like two Tweets per second.. very fast actually.  One of these feeds was CraigslistJobs. At least I think that's how it's spelled.

Anyway, don't worry about the fast feed, because you can go to your Twitter page and just search on a keyword.. in my case it was "quality".  A blind ad popped up for a "Quality Specialist", with a job description that seemed to fit me, and simply a first name and phone number.  Turned out it was very legit, and the phone number matched the main number of an established aerospace company in Illinois.

To make a long story short, I'm earning gobs of money now (90k+) because I refused to judge a job opening by the site it was listed on.  Check it out!
