Hiring companies have said they would like you do the following:
- At the event, don’t “Mob” the recruiter by aggressively shoving your resume in their hands. We want to prove to them we are professional and respectful. The most appropriate way to approach the hiring representatives is to engage them in intelligent and pertinent conversation. Your informal discussions with the recruiters can develop into formal interviews.
- Show off your social skills and professional expertise by listening to what the recruiters are saying to others. At this event, it is acceptable to eaves drop in other people’s conversations and add value to those conversations.
- Pass out your contact information to both hiring companies and other job seekers. You never know who they know that might get you a new job.
- Tell the recruiters that you will follow up with them on Linkedin and other social media sites.
