We can help one another by doing the following:

1) Network online by sharing your job resources on PinkSlipMixers.com
a) Share job resume tips
b) Share how you are putting your resume on hiring managers desks
c) Share what managers are asking during interviews

2) Come to our events
a) Build professional relationships with other professionals
b) Talk to as many people during the night, follow up with coffee
c) Tweet out job seeker request and Linkedin URL on Twitter and Facebook.

3) During your personal online search, you may come across a job listing that is perfect for people you met at our PinkSlipMixers.com event. Forward that job posting to them. If you can network with 20 to 30 people that will keep an eye out for you, hopefully they will do the same and you can maximize your search.

I will do my best to host events in both Northern and Southern California. I am talking to Jobing.com and they have asked me to do a presentation to at least 80 of their recruiting partners. I will tell these hiring companies that our community is smart, hard-working and are quality networkers. Hopefully, I can get these recruiters to support our job networking community.

Please continue to go to our events and PRACTICE your job networking skills. First impressions are so important. The job market is tough but hiring managers are understanding what we are trying to do.

Our events are more than “Job Fairs” because we target mid to upper level professionals. Our events are more than “Pink Slip Parties” because we do our best to help each other network with each other. Let’s believe that “Pay it forward” will really help us find one another jobs.
